A grade II-listed, one-bar pub dating back to 1422, featuring low ceilings and a real fire, The Boot sits in the heart of the city centre with the historic Clock Tower outside its front door.
Father and son team Will and Sean have been licensees of the pub for more than two decades, while manager James and his friendly team ensure the beer is served in top condition and excellent quality food is available to complement it.
Along with the usual five cask ales on hand pump, the pub is racking up a carefully-curated range of extra beers on stillage in the bar for a special festival to mark the City of Ale weekend. Don't miss it!
